The Inn for All Seasons, a former 16th Century coaching inn, built of beautiful Cotswold stone is a privately owned & family managed free house which has been run by The Sharp family for two generations.

Above the Windrush Valley in beautiful rolling countryside, three miles west of Burford just off the A40 Oxford to Cheltenham road and within easy reach of London, it is an ideal base for exploring The Cotswolds whether by car, bicycle or on foot.

Great Food in Relaxing Atmosphere

Great food, locally sourced where possible with fabulous fresh fish a speciality, traditional cask and local ales, well stocked wine cellar, log fires, flagstone floors, wooden beams and leather wing back chairs - all you need to relax and unwind.

Whether you are just popping in for a pint, a three course meal with fine wine or just checking your email with a cup of coffee on our FREE WiFi, we offer an informal & relaxed setting with friendly service.

Children are welcome and we're pet friendly.

Whatever your reason – enjoying the Cotswolds, attending an event, meeting up for business or pleasure, The Inn for All Seasons is the ideal retreat for a weekend or mid week break. We are children friendly with a special menu to suit the fussiest of eaters and the most adventurous.

Dogs are welcomed in most areas of the hotel including rooms and the bar. Here you will find doggy treats & water bowls. We only ask that dogs are not taken into our restaurant.

Two of our rooms lead directly outside and there is a lovely footpath leading from the back of the hotel into open countryside – ideal for walks.

For 15 years I had a ‘dream image’ of what ‘my perfect pub in the perfect place should be’ 2 years on I have been so lucky to be allowed to develop and to put into place everything that I think makes this pub truly “one of our National Pub treasures” When you go anywhere in the world and ask people what is ‘GREAT’ about ‘BRITAIN’ invariably one of the main answers will be ‘The Great British Pub’ 

We at the Fox have pledged to primarily serve that social responsibility first ~ being a pub!

On top of that we can now offer everything else we are here to serve and provide c21st offerings and facilities in a unique setting in a historical quintessential so...so...English place that I am very proud to say The Fox Inn, Barrington has arrived at a place it always should have been and now deserves to be ~ One of The Best!

The River Mews Letting Rooms

A brand new sympathetic development of 4 luxury mews rooms with an emphasis on traditional Cotswold craftsman’s skills to create rooms with a ‘Cotswold cottage type feeling’ with stunning views overlooking the River Windrush.

Developed with their own private ground floor entrances and set away from the pub, allowing you the freedom to come and go.

Step outside your door to your own private piece of Cotswold heaven ~ your residents only garden with seating area, allows you to escape the daily happenings of the Inn, if you wish to!

The Inn is built into a bank, so the views are from the 2nd floor when in the rooms ~ Windrush, Westwell and Taynton are beautiful, with the Windrush Bridal Suite being the premium of all that apart from the wonderful development of the eaves exposing the original ‘boat hull rafters’ boasts double sided views from the large windows which are truly breathtaking and with a fair degree of certainty can say are unrivalled in the local area. Spectacular river views and offering the perfect country hideaway!

The Pub Rooms

Set in the front half of the pub with a real feeling of history and tradition two of the three pub rooms are dog friendly and one even has its own resident ghost (friendly of course!)

Our pub rooms are ideal for those who are looking for a Cotswold break in the perfect location without having to overstretch the budget and still have immediate access to the Fox’s many facilities.
