Guests who are staying for several days may prefer a self-catering option, as the Granary has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. A connecting door leads from the kitchen to the main part of our house.

YEW TREE FARM, built from local mellow limestone, dates from the mid 17th Century. The original farmhouse has been enlarged over the centuries, and is now a charming country house, where guests are warmly welcomed and invited to relax in traditional and elegant surroundings.
Approached via a long private drive through an apple and pear orchard, the house is a haven of peace and tranquility. It stands on the edge of a pretty village on the Warwickshire/Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, and offers unspoilt views over the garden and the Cotswold countryside beyond.
Fine traditional English furnishings and ancestral family portraits provide an ambience that is entirely in keeping with the long history of the house and its residents.
Guest Rooms
The guest bedrooms are on the first floor and overlook the courtyard.
The double bedroom evokes memories of times past, when life was less hurried. There is a magnificent mahogany four poster bed with elegant drapes, crisp white linen, chintz soft furnishings and period furniture in this cosy room. A private bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom.
The single bedroom is small but characterful, with a comfortable bed and traditional furnishings. There is a spacious private bathroom next to the bedroom, with a shower and bath.
Tea/coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and radio are provided in the bedrooms.
Visitors are welcome to relax in the Hall beside the huge inglenook fireplace, which has a log fire burning in winter, and where there are some fine family portraits and other historic memorabilia, or in the comfortable private sitting room on the second floor where there is a flat screen television and a large collection of books.
Breakfast is served in the dining room, or in the vine-covered gazebo on hot summer mornings.
Private tours of the gardens, guided by the owner, are available to visitors between May and October. Visits to other private gardens in the area can also be arranged.
Yew Tree Farm and the village of Ascott are surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside which will appeal to both walkers and nature lovers. The pretty Cotswold market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton in Marsh and Chipping Norton are a pleasant 20 minutes drive away, while Stratford upon Avon, Oxford and Warwick are all within easy driving distance.
Local attractions include Hidcote, Kiftsgate, Rousham, Broughton, Blenheim and Stowe. The famous Whichford Pottery is five minutes away.

Bruern is a tiny hamlet in the Evenlode Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of the Cotswolds.
The 12 award winning cottages were converted from the mellow stone Victorian stable yard and outbuildings of Bruern Abbey, a handsome 18th century country house visible over the trees opposite.
They are stylish, luxurious and unusually well equipped, more country house than cottage, with open fires and four poster beds as well as state of the art bathrooms and kitchens.
