Fairford is a small town located on the River Coln 4 miles west of Lechlade in the County of Gloucestershire. The buildings on the High Street are a pleasant mixture of the 17th and 18th centuries and the number of hotels and inns remind us that Fairford was once an important staging post on the London to Gloucester coaching run. Ideally situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, Swindon 12 miles, Cirencester 10 miles. (Paddington to Swindon 50 minutes.) Easy access to M4 and M5, as well as to Cotswold tourist sites such as Burford, Bibury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-water, Cirencester. Oxford is 24 miles. Many famous gardens (Hidcote, Sezincote, Kiftsgate, Barnsley House) are within easy reach. The Thames Path is only 2km away.
The Manor has its own cricket field. During the cricket season you can watch a game from your bedroom or from the garden! Sports facilities in the vicinity are: horse-riding, tennis, swimming, water sports (at the Cotswold Water Parks) and joining organised walks. A number of courses take place at the Manor from time to time: Butler's School, Painting and Drawing, Music Workshop, Etiquette and Speech.
