Gower House is ideally situated close to shops, pubs & restaurants, in the centre of Winchcombe an old Cotswold town once known as Wincelcombe and was the ancient capital of Mercia.

The house was origionally built as two cottages in the early 17th century out of  Cotswold stone probably taken from the ruins of Winchcombe Abbey which had been totally destroyed during Henry VIII's "disollution of the monastries".

It has three first floor bedrooms, two are en-suite with either twin or double beds, the third has a double bed with a large private bathroom with choice of shower or bath (ideal for weary walkers to soak in!) All bedrooms are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, colour TV, clock radio and hairdryer and full central heating.

The dining room, with and interesting collection of weights & scales, is on the ground floor. There is also a lounge area with TV for guests use. Off street parking includes two garages and a further three uncovered spaces.  Large secluded garden is available for guests use. 

Terms Double/Twin en-suite  £53 for 2 persons sharing including full English breakfast. Double with private bathroom £50 for 2 persons sharing including English breakfast.

Gower House is a no smoking establishment and unfortunately we do not take dogs.
