The Garden
Stone House Garden is a 2½ acre Cotswold garden that has been created over the last 18 years. This cottage garden is made up of a series of different rooms that flow around the house each holding their own unique magic.
A plantswoman's paradise full of surprises. This English garden has been designed specifically to compliment Stone House and the Cotswold countryside beyond, everything in harmony with nature. No spraying and lots of good food makes happy plants.
The soil at Stone House Garden is heavy acid clay, unusual for the Cotswolds which enables us to grow a large range of perennials and trees, but no tender ones as the frost is cruel in winter.
At Stone House Garden particular attention is paid to bulbs. Snowdrops, Scillas and Hellebores brighten the Woodland in early spring and the garden is a tapestry of glorious tulips in April and May. The Meadow Walk is host to naturalising Snakeshead Fritillaries, followed on by Camassias and late Narcissi.

At Stone House Garden planting is for all seasons so this is somewhere to visit again and again to discover the treasure that each season reveals.
