The Falstaff's Experience offers an informative yet theatrical glimpse into the pages of history, from the glorious to the ghastly, from the hilarious to the haunting, from The Plague to the English Civil War. It is an attraction like no other and will live on in your mind long after your visit.
Recently acclaimed as the second most haunted site in Britain, The Falstaffs Experience offers a unique and fascinating insight into Stratford's past and, as their literature claims, is where visitors can " watch history come to life before their eyes".
Combining education with history, hilarity and hauntings, the The Falstaffs Experience includes the 16th century Shrieves House Barn, reputedly one of the most haunted buildings in England and crammed with history through two great fires, The Plague and the English Civil War.
Other attractions include The Tenement (a reconstruction of Emm's Court- one of Stratford most notorious slums), The Haunted Chamber, The Plague Cottage (filled with first hand accounts of the Bubonic Plague), The Witches Glade (with Ducking Stool at the ready!) and Falstaff's Tavern.
More recent history is covered by the 20th Century 'Strange But Untrue' section filled with strange artefacts and The Old Penny Arcade, complete with antique machines and even the mystical Madame Zandra!
Tours take place by day or by night- for full details check out www.falstaffsexperience.co.uk |
