The Gardeners Arms is a 16th Century
thatched country pub and restaurant in Alderton,
a quiet village just north of Cheltenham in the heart of
the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. A friendly, family-run

Home cooked
food is served, seasonal local produce (eg. Asparagus, Strawberries),
and offer vegetarian & specific allergy menus, and seasonal

The Inn prides
itself on supplying good Ales, Beers and Fine Wines and is
a member of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. The good beer
guide was set up by CAMRA for pubs that keep beers well,
pour the perfect pint & other drinks, give a good welcome,
terrific food and family facilities to help these pubs to
survive. CAMRA members choose the pubs and visit them on
a regular basis.
The Gardeners Arms is featured in the
UK Good Beer Guide, UK Good Pub Food Guide, and have been
awarded the Cask-Marque. This is from an independent
organisation whose aims are to consistently achieve a high
standard of beer in terms of clarity, temperature, taste & aroma. The
Inn is assessed several times a year and a minimum of 80%
is required to pass & retain the award. They are very
proud to have never failed an audit since the Cask-Marque
organisation started.
The Pub is integral and popular in the
village community, we host many events such as quiz nights,
theme nights, Christmas, New Year, Easter & Bank Holiday
special events.
Alderton is close to many Gloucestershire & Worcestershire
attractions, and the Gardeners Arms is a popular meeting
place for local clubs, societies, ramblers, bikers & cyclists.
The Inn is approximately 7 miles from Tewkesbury and 4.5
miles from Winchcombe.
There is a
large free car park, disabled access, large beer garden with
boule area, a Shove Ha'penny table and an original well in
the lounge. Children are welcome and dogs are permitted
