Hidden in the Windrush Valley is the idyllic village of Swinbrook which appears not to have changed for centuries. Enchantingly lost in time.
Attractions include rolling hills near Burford that invite picturesque walks, cosy log fires, real ales, fine wines, delicious award-winning food and now our beautiful, recently decorated bedrooms - all great reasons to come and stay in this lovely pub, owned by the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire and run by Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing.
You really could not dream up a more delightful English country pub (except for The King’s Head Inn, Bledington). With the Windrush running through it, and the most picturesque of Cotswold cricket pitches right by it, you could not find a more genuine and tranquil location.
The beautiful bespoke bedrooms are now complete and ready to welcome guests.
The conversion of the Cotswold stone barn into six boutique bedrooms, all thoughtfully decorated by Nicola, has taken over a year.
Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern facilities, the charming bedrooms have been designed to offer aesthetic enjoyment with up-to-date comfort.
