Maxwell’s Piece Bed and Breakfast
Richard – I thought I would share with you the excellent performance that you guys at Cotswolds.info have put in for us in the last 12 months to end December 2015. You are our top referral site, with over 900 enquiries, but more than that, they are excellent quality enquiries, with nearly half using our availability page, showing at least serious intent – a ratio that is much higher than any other site that we use. Thank you very much for your good work, and we will certainly be renewing for 2016!

The Old Coach House B&B
Hello Cotswolds.Info,
Thank you for the reminder, we shall however have to decline to renew for the coming year. We are taking a sabbatical from B & B. I should like to thank you both though as we have found your website to be a very good source of income for us, we wish you continued success.
We will keep you in mind should we start up again. Kind regards.

Maxwell's Piece Bed and Breakfast
Dear Richard,
Wow, THANK YOU so much, that is just brilliant…. You are already No5 in site visits from referral in my Googlestats, and 32 visits, but more importantly (real measure) 13 visits to our availability page, which is where the real action is!! Just been looking at what you are doing for us. Now remember that we have only been with you for a few weeks!!! You are already equal to the Cotswolds.com “official” site, and we have been on there 12 months….. As I say, WOW!!!

Applegarth Luxury Apartment
Hi Susan/Richard,
Thank you for the reminder, I have decided to withdraw the Apartment at Applegarth from all advertising and close the web site due to a commitment to sell the property in 2013.
There is no doubt that Cotswold Info was the best/most cost effective method of advertising. Should I consider a similar venture at a later date I would not hesitate to use your services again. Kind regards,

Gowers Close B&B
Dear Richard Pinder,
As I am just signing up for another year on your Cotswold Info website, I thought you
might like to know just how thrilled we have been with the amount of visitors from
Cotswold Info who have targeted our B and B.
The response has been almost overwhelming, and we have been passing on to other local
B& B's some of the many visitors we couldn't fit in. The forward bookings for this summer are afready pretty hectic, as I believe many Australians and Americans are coming over for the
Olympics, and then need a nice calm week or two in the Cotswolds, visiting gardens
and discovering Shakespeare's England.
We have had to re-thatch some of our house, so knowing that there are enough visitors to help finance it is very re-assuring.
Many thanks indeed.
With kind regards,

Hi Richard,
Just paid your invoice for 2012 a couple of days ago: many thanks once more for all the leads.
We end December, nine months into our year, at +18% vs 2010/11, so have to be pretty pleased.

Hello Richard,
We've been using your site for a year now, and our turnover has doubled. Absolutely delighted with all the guests we've had, and judging by the remarks in our visitors book, they have all loved staying with us.

Gower House B&B at Winchcombe
Dear Richard,
After 28 years of doing B & B I have decided to throw in the towel and retire! So could you remove Gower House from your web site please. I would like to thank you for your help on creating my page on Cotswolds Info, it was the best bit of advertising I used in all those 28 years!

Holiday Cottage at Malmesbury
Dear Richard,
Just to let you know that I have just paid the Renewal Invoice online.
We've been really pleased with the traffic to our site from cotwolds.info over the last year. We only opened the cottage in June 2009, and we've achieved over 85% occupancy since then! Traffic to our website from yours is running at around 29%, with about 50% through the Google search and the rest, either smaller volume links, or direct (which tends to be mostly me editing the site!). The split from cotswolds.info is 17% from the normal accommodation pages and just over 12% from the partners page (which I guess is the hot deals link?). We see your site, therefore, as an important part of our marketing mix, particularly as it is the only paid-for advertising that we do (other than Visit England, which creates so little traffic that it doesn't show up in the top 10 traffic sources results, but we have to do it for the rating!).
All in all, we're very pleased! Your site is definitely worth it's weigh! We're fully booked until the end of October and have bookings in both November and December.
Thank you and keep up the good work!
Many thanks,
Emma Harris, 27 July 2010
The Seagrave Arms near Broadway and Chipping Campden
I just wanted to thank you for your help in getting the newly launched Seagrave Arms on to your website. The minute we went "live" the enquiries started and we are now full for the next 3 weekends and we could have let the rooms 4 times over!
Also many thanks for your help with the new photos of the outside for the website. The whole exercise was carried out with speed and style and it was a pleasure to work with you.
Kind regards, Kevin Davies, The Seagrave Arms. July 2010

'Cotswolds.Info has consistently outperformed other web sites in introducing visitors to my own web site - I can attribute over 30% of enquiries to Cotswolds.Info this month (June) and this figure is typical for the year.'

Woodlands Guest House
Dear Richard, I should have sent you this e-mail weeks ago but I have been so busy, people are only too quick these days to complain but would like to say a big thank you, business at Woodlands has increased substantially since advertising on Cotswold Info web site.

A Happy Surfer
I would just like to thank you for an incredibly
easy site to operate and for the wealth of information. It has to be one of the best tourist
information sites I have used.

Staddlestones B&B, Chipping Campden
I am happy to advertise with Cotswold.Info because its is always at the top of the listings on Google for B&B's in Chipping Campden, and therefore potential guests looking for accommodation do not have to look too far. Being 3rd on the listings hopefully gives my business a good chance of being noticed and therefore contacted. Within our first year of doing B&B we have been busy throughout the whole year - Thank you.

The Inn at Fossebridge - Cotswold Hotel, Chedworth
Just a short note to say how delighted we are with Cotswold.Info website and the prospective business it has brought to us. The number of hits we have received from your efforts has been truly amazing and we just wanted to thank you for helping us re-establish this wonderful old inn to its former glory.

Pennylands Bed and Breakfast, Broadway
Just a short note to say thank you for your help and support during our first year at Pennylands and our first year of many advertising with Cotswolds Info.
It is refreshing to write in support of a genuine service and this is what I feel Cotswolds Info is……a service to the Cotswolds and those who visit the area.
Thank you once again - Chris and Lindsay, June 2008
Hawthorn House, Witney
I'd just like to say "thank you" for 2007.
I puchased Hawthorn House in Feb 2007 and had never run a B&B before. The previous owners were advertising with sites that, when I looked into them were not user friendly and too complicated to use. I therefore stopped advertising with the 4 sites at that time. I looked into Cotswolds Info and as a "new user" of the internet, I found this to be very easy to use and I could find my way around very quickly. Also, by using a password I can update my "hot deals" immediately which I often do. I can also check out how many "hits" I have had and how many e-mails.
Some advetising sites don't do this, nor can you accurately get feedback from callers, as to where they found your number etc. I listened to friends and family and people who were not in the "trade" and I shouldn't have done.
Not ALL advertising works, but I am glad to say that Cotswolds Info DOES work. I shall be linking my web-site to Cotswolds.info also as it saves me the job of putting all tourist info on my site as well as me having to find out about different places to visit etc.
I have always found Richard and his colleagues very helpful indeed and would recommend anyone in our area to advertise with Cotswolds.Info They even put me in touch with someone who designed my web-site and who runs her own B&B therefore she knew what sorts of ideas work. Again the service has been fantastic and I will be renewing my subscription again this year.
Thank you - Alison Smallman, January 2008
Richard Pinder and Cotswolds.info
Buscot Manor, Faringdon, Oxfordshire, opened in Autumn 2006, a Five star Gold Award
assessed new business, with no established client base, having missed the summer 'season',
with a limited advertising budget and a long winter ahead.
Due to the time of the year, we were unable to engage any advertising / marketing support
from Visit Britain, Cotswold or Vale until 2007.
We contacted Richard Pinder at Cotswold.Info and we were not only offered immediate advertising
access on his site, but he offered expert advice and a generous start-up deal which, at
his suggestion, trialled inclusion in different 'sections' of Cotswold.info
and from which we were able to monitor take up and advise future cost effective marketing.
Twelve months on, we have been extremely disappointed with the service and take-up from
the 'official' tourist sites (which are by no means cheap). However, through
Cotswolds.Info we have enjoyed from the outset, a constant take-up of guests not only from
the UK, but from across Europe, America, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong etc. Business has been
beyond our expectations.
We are writing this (voluntarily and unpaid ..... so perhaps we are not such good business
people?) because we believe that Richard Pinder offers an exceptional site with:-
* exceptional potential customer access
* exceptional client service / marketing analysis
* exceptional value for money
If our advertising budget limited us to only one site, it would be Cotswolds.info
If you provide accommodation in the Cotswolds, quite simply, our experience and advice
is that you should use this site.

Your website improves all the time. The topics are so varied and comprehensive and
your enthusiasm communicates really well. We consult Cotswolds.Info for information
regarding the Cotswolds area, excursions and local news for our own use as well as providing
information for our guests.
The number of bookings generated through your website far surpasses any of our other advertisers. Thank you so much.

I have received a lot of guests via your site - loads of campers too (too many in fact

turning people away!).

Hillcrest Holiday Cottage nr Minchinhampton
Having only started Holiday
letting last year, I, misguidedly went through a large
holiday company to advertise my property. They took a large commission.
I
then found Cotswolds.info and thought I'd try give it a go... Advert
and website later, I am now receiving so many booking enquiries
that I am now confident to go with Cotswolds.info alone.
But
we could do with more properties for holiday letting
in south Cotswolds- I have had to turn away loads of visitors!

The Dial House Hotel - Bourton-on-the-Water
'My wife and I took over The Dial House in September 2001. At the time 30% of our enquiries came from the Internet. In the three years that we have been here this has increased to the current percentage of 85% and is still climbing. Cotswold.info provides us with a large percentage of those enquiries. As more and more people start to use the internet and with the increase in broadband usage this can only get better. Guidebooks have got a lot of work to do to continue to be an attractive form of advertising.'

The Eight Bells Inn - Chipping Campden
"As an accommodation provider in Chipping Campden The Eight Bells Inn relies heavily on word of mouth recommendations, guide book affiliations and the Internet. We spent a lot of time on our website and now find over 75% of our business comes via the Internet. We are constantly bombarded with new Cotswold Website Providers wanting our business but have stayed only with Cotswolds Info. as we have found them an excellent provider with at least two enquiries per week generated via them. We intend to subscribe to Cotswold Info. for the foreseeable future."

"I find that using the Cotswold.info website allows myself to help, both my regular and potential clients, to keep up to date with the latest pictures, current events and information that will help them, hopefully, to decide to book either a room at The Crown & Trumpet Inn or try one of our Broadway Holiday Cottages".

"We started Laverton Hill House B+B in January 2004,

be very worthwhile. We are very pleased with the service that we receive, and we
look forward to continuing our relationship with them."
Edward Hammond - Owner
Burford House Hotel - Burford
"The internet now accounts for around 60% of our reservations. Cotswold.Info is a genuinely productive site for us and I am sure that this is due to the quality of the information on it, the presentation of this information and the fact that it is user friendly. At a time when large conglomerate type web-sites seem to be dominating the internet more and more it is good for we small independent hotels that Cotswold.Info is there."

Broad Oak Cottages - Stow-on-the-Wold
"It is a sign of an increasing trend that most of our bookings now come via the Internet, of which the majority book through our Cotswolds Info Link to the Cotswolds Guide. Clearer digital photos have replaced the old fashioned brochure and information is always up-to-date. It is a most efficient and productive way to advertise and give guests exactly the kind of cottage which suits them".
