Tewkesbury is an attractive, historic town dominated by timber-framed buildings with overhanging eaves and has a fascinating maze of small alleyways behind the main streets. It is situated on a spit of land just above flood level at the junction of two great rivers (the Severn and Avon) .

9 Mill Bank is a bijou, 16th Century cottage, lying alongside the River Avon, close to the Abbey, in one of Gloucestershire's most picturesque, medieval settings. Its unique location disguises its close proximity to the heart of the town and the full range of facilities and attractions available.
Recently refurbished and retaining many original features, it offers both comfort and convenience in an "olde worlde" setting. With outstanding, uninterrupted views over the Severn Ham to the Malvern Hills, this is the ideal place to relax and "chille oute".

A Brief History
Millbank is believed to date back to around 1500 and belonged, with the mill, to the monks of the Abbey. During the 1700's, it was used as a workhouse. More recently, no. 9 was home to "Old Mrs Gore" and her 9 children. Mrs Gore raised her family without the "luxury" of running water. Water was supplied from a pump, operated by a lady living in the pumphouse, situated directly in front of the row of cottages.

Tariff:- Bedroom 1 with en-suite - from £30 per person per night. Bedroom 2 - double with seperate bathroom - from £25 per person per night. Single supplement £40.

Room 1 is a tastefully furnished double en-suite room with quality stripped pine furniture and a lovely brass bedstead. The en suite shower room has a double-sized shower cubicle with sliding glass door and an adjustable power shower to ensure just the right water temperature.
Room 2 with private bathroom is light and airy with pastel coloured walls and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room has plenty of storage space, a large mirror and a hairdryer. The private bathroom has a luxury double -sized shower with two shower head settings and a Victorian style roll-top bath with hand shower attachment – the perfect place to relax after a busy day.
