Most of the wedding magazines will be able to tell you what’s in fashion at the moment but it is more important to find something that you actually like, as this will make for a good starting point when you come to meet your florist.
There are four classic bouquet arrangements:
Hand-tied posy
Loosely tied short-stemmed flowers, tied with a ribbon. Carried by brides wanting to create a contemporary feel to their wedding.
Free style bouquet
Loosely tied long stemmed flowers are used to create a more natural look. An ideal way of bringing a very personal feel to your big day.
Teardrop bouquet
(Shower) Your classic wedding bouquet, commonly used in churches. An inverted teardrop shape, with the flowers drawn down towards a point. This style will compliment any bride with a full figure but should be avoided by petite brides.
Formal posy
A compact rounded mass of tightly packed flowers, quite often roses are chosen. This style is most suited to brides wearing a full dress. Bridesmaids can be given a small identical version of the bouquet.
