The small Cotswolds village of Darlingscott is located 3 miles north-west of the town of Shipston-on-Stour and is less than two miles to the east of the Cotswold edge. Stratford-upon-Avon is 9 miles away, Chipping Campden 5 miles, and Moreton-in-Marsh only 6 miles. There is a pleasant series of Cotswold stone farmhouses and cottages and the small church of St.George built in 1874. It has richly carved chancel arch capitals and other other areas of carved detail.
To sample the uniqueness of the Cotswolds northern-eastern fringes walk west from the village across the fields past Southfield, up near Windmill Hill, and down the drive passing Foxcote House, towards Ebrington.
