Swindon & Cricklade Railway (Wiltshire)

Based at Blunsdon station it is the only standard gauge heritage railway in Wiltshire and is 0.75 miles long.

Situated between Swindon and Cricklade it can be reached via the A419 road.

The line uses the trackbed of the former Midland & Western Junction Railway and has ongoing extension work.

With trains running on Saturdays, Sundays and special days visitors have the opportunity to also see the rolling stock etc.

Arrangements can be made for private parties.

Special events include , Santa Specials and Thomas the Tank .

For those interested in having the experience of driving a Locomotive, arrangements can be made for this .

The cost of driving a steam locomotive is £150 and for Diesel £60. Gift vouchers can be purchased for this.
