Near to Moreton-in-Marsh, Stratford-on-Avon, Chipping Campden, and Warwick Castle, it provides the perfect base for visiting many of the wonderful events and attractions in the local area.
Your hosts, Poppy and Graham provide the very best in English country house hospitality. The watchwords here are a very warm welcome, friendliness, kindness, comfort, and good food. Guests normally arrive in time for for tea, served with delicious home made cake, either by the fire in the Winter or on the terrace in Summer.
The en-suite bedrooms at Uplands are sumptuously furnished and very comfortable, guaranteeing a thoroughly restful night’s sleep. Guests are also invited to use the garden terrace and the drawing room, both are ideal places for relaxing.

Grange Farm house was built in the late 18th Century The Taylor family have farmed Grange Farm for 100 years
Grange Farm is a family run farm of just over 300 hectare two thirds of which is arable, planted with wheat barley, linseed, oil seed rape and lupins, the remainder is grassland/ grazing for the 90 head beef enterprise, a livery yard containing 12 stables and a Equestrian Cross Country Course.
Our garden is a peaceful/rural haven if you want to relax and read the paper, or just watch the world go by.

We are situated in picturesque rolling countryside in the heart of our working family farm near Swalcliffe, North Oxfordshire. We can offer a double room or a family suite for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Stourwell Barn is conveniently situated close to many lovely villages and towns. Chipping Norton ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’ is 8 miles away and in the opposite direction is the market town of Banbury. We are also well located for Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, Stow on the Wold, Burford and many other Cotswold towns.
Stourwell Barn is a stone built barn dated 1772. It was originally built by the landowner William of Wykham. The source of the River Stour is situated nearby. The barn has had a variety of uses over the years. Livestock, Hay store, workshop and in 2011 we converted it to our family home.
The B&B rooms are located on the ground floor in a quiet corner of the barn.
Why come and stay?
Well who wouldn’t want to stay in beautiful countryside? On your arrival you might be warmly greeted by our dogs, Bramble, Tilly & Poppy. Visit the chickens strutting around in the newly planted orchard, come and collect some eggs.
For families we can offer a grass paddock to play rugby or football in (we’re rugby all the way here!) that’s of course if the cattle aren’t mowing the grass. Don’t forget your Wellington boots!

TheLoft at Forge House is located in the centre of Swalcliffe – a beautiful quiet historic village set amongst rolling hills. It is excellent for walking, riding and cycling. Only 5 miles west of Banbury it offers easy access to all major attractions and events in the Cotswolds. Oxford, Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Stratford upon Avon are close and central London is within 1hr from Banbury by train.
The Loft is entirely self contained and fully equipped including tea and coffee making facilities. It benefits from a private access and secure parking for cars and lockable storage for bicycles.
Accommodation includes a double bedroom, living room with kitchenette, dining area and shower room. As well as B&B it can be rented on a self catering basis by agreement.
Forge House - A double bedroom and twin bedroom with a shared shower room are available.
