Sunday 8 June 2008 - Bowood Country Fair & Dog Show is a fabulous family day out – whether or not you have a dog!
This summer’s event, held in the glorious grounds of beautiful Bowood House near Calne, offers more family fun than ever before. We have some fantastic new attractions including the Eckington Manor Cookery Village where the chefs will be joined by food writer Tom Parker Bowles for workshops and demonstrations – a must for all keen cooks!
Animal lovers, young and old, won’t want to miss our wonderful animals which, this year, include Asian otters, the snakes & reptiles of the Jungle Talk petting zoo, the Harness Goat Society, Newfoundlands, owls, falcons & the ever-popular donkeys.
Another new attraction – bound to be a pull for the adventurous among you – is the climbing wall. We are also delighted that the Wiltshire Air Ambulance will be at the show and the crew will be delighted to let visitors have a peek inside.
This fabulous event is once again raising much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and local charities including Wiltshire Blind Association, Springboard, Headway Bath and Derry Hill PCC.
So make it a date – Sunday June 8 at Bowood House – and treat yourselves to a wonderful day out.
