One of the Cotswolds greatest secrets is how good the area is for off road cycling with a network of good tracks designated as byways and bridleways making off road cycling one of the best ways to discover the area. This is the way to discover the secret hidden places inaccessible to cars.

It is possible to book a guided cycling tour for a couple of hours or a day, or as part of an organised holiday where your luggage is transported separately and overnight accommodation arranged.

Bikes are made by a company called Freego. They have a powerful motor allowing greater range and ability to tackle the hills for which our countryside is renowed. The motor drives the rear wheel giving good stability and traction. With an electric assisted bike, the motor kicks in only when it senses you need some extra help, allowing a far greater range.
