A traditional historic market town, Woodstock is a picturesque, eclectic place to shop.
The four main streets: Oxford Road, Market Square and High Street, leading into Park Street, all link up and can be strolled around in a matter of 15 minutes – longer of course if you duck in and out of the variety of boutiques and galleries.
Woodstock is a particularly good place for finding special gifts or one-of-a-kind antiques. As well as the permanent established shops, there’s an antique fair in the town hall every second Saturday and Sunday of the month. Woodstock also holds regular craft fairs, and a farmers’ market in the main square on the first Saturday of every month.
The gates of Blenheim Palace can be accessed off Park Street via High Street, and the large gift shop and annual Christmas Craft Fair are hugely popular with visitors.
